到曼谷入住Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok,酒店附近有一間叫Baan Phadthai的泰國餐廳,意指泰式炒河之家。我很喜歡吃Pad Thai,所以特別來吃午餐。餐廳離BTS Saphan Taksin及Center Point也不遠,交通也算方便。
餐廳裝修以舊日七十年代的泰國店舖為題,以藍色作主調,充滿泰式復古的味道。除了多款泰式炒粉外,還有小吃如炸雞翼、豬肉串燒等等,價錢不太貴,又坐得舒服。泰式炒粉可配不同材料如雞、豬、蝦、藍蟹等,就試了Phad Thai Phoo,Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Blue Crab Meat,Eggs,Peanuts,Bean Sprouts,Tofu,Garlic Chive,Dried Shrimp,Crab Juice & Tamarind Sauce,THB280。另一款是雞的Phad Thai Gai Yang,Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Grilled Chicken Breast,Eggs,Peanuts,Bean Sprouts,Tofu,Garlic Chive,Dried Shrimp,Crab Juice & Tamarind Sauce,THB190,炒得棕金色,色澤吸引,配料又很豐富,有雞蛋、豆腐、豆芽、蒜苗、青檸、花生等,粉條彈牙,又不油膩,味道鹹中帶甜,與蟹配出鮮香,但個人更愛配搭烤雞來吃。
還有小吃及飲品,Gai Tod,Deep Fried Spiced Chicken Wings served with Homemade Nam Jim Kai,THB190,Moo Ping,Grilled Marinated Pork Skewers,THB180,單骨雞翼炸得又香又脆,肉嫩不乾,豬肉串也燒得香口,連同醬汁一起吃更惹味。飲品有Ginger & Lemongrass Tea,THB100,Chrysanthemum Tea,THB100,除了茶或咖啡,也有泰式梳打、果汁及酒精飲品。最後也有吃甜品芒果糯米飯,Khao Niew Mamuang,Homemade Fermented Ripe Mango with Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice & Topped with Salted Coconut Sauce,THB190,香甜的芒果配上黏糯的糯米飯,椰汁味道帶點鹹,吃得非常滿足。
